Really liking Chris Perrins’ Mecha. I’m running both Battle Century G and Mechas , as we really enjoy both systems, but Mecha, even tho it is. Mecha RPG Softcover has 10 ratings and 6 reviews. It’s more of a splinter in my brain than anything written down. We used them each time we introduced a NPC, each time I gave them the choice to roll on the relation or the emotion table. All of your points are pretty much dead on – I loved the campaign of Mecha that I played, but it definitely has its flaws. If you need playtesters give me a sign, one of the group I played with is still quite interested by the game.
I’m trying to remember how we used Engineering and addressed some of the balancing issues – will post when I find our house rule document: With one of the groups I had a lot of player scene framing blanc page syndrome, but that was maybe my fault With one group, we house ruled that we could spend 1AP xp to get a reroll on the tables. All the groups who tried the game were really looking forward the setting creation phase.

Sign In or Register to comment. I think our battles lasted rounds on average. We used them a lot at the beginning of playtesting, but over time, they fell out of use. This could be one of the cool stuff to choose during the setting creation: Want to Read Currently Reading Read.

Just about everyone does. But this was related to the skills setting the target numbers. February edited February in Actual Play. In all, its a fine system, and a fantastic effort.

Her mech has some kind of “Versatile Defense” configuration based around the Defense linked trait. In particular, I think Bulwark would have been better if I had written “Bulwarks become slow so they can pack a deadly punch.
Mecha by Chris Perrin: still supported?
I loved the Capture Point system and how important positioning and mobility became in combat. For that turn, she chooses to link Armor to Intelligence and, therefore, whatever mech stat Intelligence was linked to previously now links to Strength.
